Lachman Ludhani, Chairman and Managing Director of Evershine Group, is a pioneering figure in Mumbai’s real estate industry, credited with introducing affordable housing and township concepts. With a career defined by simplicity, hard work, and innovation, he has built communities that go beyond mere structures. As a person, Lachman is deeply rooted in philanthropy, driven by a belief in giving back to the society that gave him so much. The Journey
Simplicity, honesty, and hard work are the defining traits of Shri Lachman Ludhani. Currently serving as the Chairman and Managing Director of Evershine Group, he wears many hats, not only as a visionary entrepreneur, but also as a dedicated advocate for philanthropy.
Born on April 2, 1939, Lachman was a young boy with big dreams and an unyielding spirit. Learning from his personal and professional experiences, he is a true believer that "Wealth is not an Entitlement." Philanthropy has always been central to Lachman Ludhani’s life. He often credits his late wife, Mira Lachman Ludhani, as his greatest source of strength and inspiration. She not only encouraged him but also actively participated alongside him in various charitable endeavours. Her influence continues to resonate in his actions to this day. Lachman continues to host annual Eye Camps through the Evershine Group, offering free treatments to the underprivileged. In memory of his late wife, Lachman Ludhani organizes a "Bhandara" each year, providing meals to those in need.
The Evershining Moment
Lachman Ludhani’s journey with the Evershine Group began when he moved to Mumbai at the age of 21 to join his brother, Shri Ramchand B. Ludhani, in building what would become one of the city's most respected real estate brands. He introduced a fresh perspective on homes and communities, pioneering the concept of "townships" or "gated communities" in Mumbai.
Under his visionary leadership, the Evershine Group became synonymous with affordable housing, delivering landmark projects such as India’s first self-sufficient township the Evershine City in Vasai, the first Hi-tech Residential Township Evershine Millennium Paradise in Kandivali, Yazoo Park, and the iconic Dream Park in Kandivali—one of Mumbai’s largest parks, thoughtfully designed for couples, children, and senior citizens alike. Driven by a passion to offer more than just homes, Lachman Ludhani’s work continues to shape the future of Mumbai’s real estate landscape.
